Paredas was an All-Valley selection on the course in every year she played at Harlingen High School... qualified for the regional tournament during her first three years with the Cardinals... captured the Harlingen Invitational in 2002... finished third at the same tournament in each of the previous two seasons... placed fourth at the Brownsville Invitational in 2001... was part of a Cardinals' squad that finished second at the Harlingen Invitational and Tony Butler Tournament... squad placed third at the Brownsville Fort Brown Tournament... won numerous academic awards, including being a member of the National Honor Roll, Texas Scholar and Tech Prep Texas Scholar... was a member of the PTSA, Key Club, Student Council, Spanish Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
