Freshman Enrollment

  • Registered for at least 12 hours per semester
  • Must complete six semester hours of academic degree credit each full-time semester during the academic year (fall/spring) which applies to assigned degree
  • Complete 24 semester hours of academic degree credit before the student-athlete enters his or her second year of collegiate enrollment
  • 18 of the 24 semester hours of academic degree credit must be completed during the academic year (fall/spring)
  • Must present a minimum cumulative GPA of 1.8 prior to entering the second year


Sophomore Enrollment

  • Registered for at least 12 hours per semester
  • During their second year, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum 1.8 cumulative GPA throughout the academic year
  • Must complete six semester hours of academic degree credit each full-time semester during the academic year (fall/spring)
  • 18 hours of academic degree credit must be completed during the academic year (fall/spring)
  • Must present a minimum cumulative GPA of 1.9 prior to entering the third year
  • 40% of degree must be completed in a four-year program prior to entering the third year
  • 33% of degree must be completed in a five-year program prior to entering the third year
  • Must declare a major prior to the first day of classes of third year
 

Junior Enrollment

  • Registered for at least 12 hours per semester
  • During their third year, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum 1.9 cumulative GPA throughout the academic year
  • Must complete six semester hours of academic degree credit each full-time semester during the academic year (fall/spring)
  • 18 hours of academic degree credit must be completed during the academic year (fall/spring)
  • Must present a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 prior to entering fourth year
  • 60% of degree must be completed in a four-year program prior to entering fourth year
  • 50% of degree must be completed in a five-year program prior to entering fourth year
 

Senior Enrollment

  • Registered for at least 12 hours per semester
  • During their fourth year, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA throughout the academic year
  • Must complete six semester hours of academic degree credit each full-time semester during the academic year (fall/spring)
  • 18 hours of academic degree credit must be completed during the academic year (fall/spring)
  • Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 prior to entering fifth year
  • 80% of degree must be completed in a four-year program prior to entering fifth year
  • 67% of degree must be completed in a five-year program prior to entering fifth year
 

5th Year Enrollment

  • Registered for at least 12 hours per semester or the remaining courses for degree completion
  • Must complete six semester hours of academic degree credit each full-time semester during the academic year (fall/spring)
