Overview
The Leave Your Legacy initiative is an initiative that provides alumni from our legacy institutions the opportunity to leave behind a unique, physical mark within the UTRGV Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Our goal is to honor our alumni and ensure that their legacy lives on. Opportunities for physical name recognition are available through leadership walls, locker room plaques, and more. By leaving your commemorative mark, you are encouraging current and future student-athletes, coaches, and community members to create a legacy of their own.
Leadership Walls
As a part of the Leave Your Legacy initiative, alumni will have the opportunity to have their name permanently engraved on one of the UTRGV Athletics Leadership Walls, including the Enriquez Construction Weight Room Leadership Wall, the Coach Al and Joann Ogletree Baseball Leadership Wall, or the Dan and Terry Martinez Soccer Leadership Wall. Plaques are available on these walls starting at $1,500.
Locker Room
As a part of the Leave Your Legacy initiative, alumni will have the opportunity to leave their legacy behind through a locker room piece that symbolically unites UTPA and UTRGV. Because a horseshoe reflects elements of both athletics brands, this commemorative piece is mounted on the lockers of the student-athletes to represent unity and legacy. The horseshoe will be exclusively engraved with your name, years of participation, position played, hometown, and an inspirational message, if you wish. Locker room horseshoes are available for $2,500.
