Brenda Gonzalez joined the Broncs prior to the 2011-12 season. A 2008 graduate of UTPA with a Bachelor’s Degree in kinesiology and minors in history and health education, Gonzalez works with sprinters, jumpers, and hurdlers.
Prior to joining the coaching staff, Gonzalez competed for the Broncs for four years. She competed in the javelin throw in 2007 and 2008, placing fist at the University of Houston Invitational and third at the University of Texas Austin Invitational. She also earned Bronc Pride 3.0 Club honors in 2005 and 2006.
A native of the Rio Grande Valley, Gonzalez is a 2003 graduate of Roma High School.
