2006 Season (Freshman)
The UTPA freshman captured a trio of victories in the number-six position in singles' action with triumphs coming against the University of South Dakota, Laredo Community College and Texas-A&M Corpus Christi... earned three victories in doubles' action against Prairie View A&M, University of South Dakota and Laredo Community College... was selected to the ITA All-Academic Scholar-Athlete Team for the first time in her career... selected to the UTPA Athletic Director's Honor Roll... earned Dean's List Second Honors during both the fall and spring semesters... cited as a Bronc Pride 3.0 Club member in each semester during freshman campaign. 

Hidalgo High School
A product of the Rio Grande Valley, Nanez was selected as the Most Valuable Player for Hidalgo High School tennis team in each of her final three seasons... competed at the Texas State 3A Tennis Championships during her senior campaign... guided her team to a berth in the regional tournament during her final season... earned Most Valuable Player laurels in soccer during her senior season... earned four letters during her prep career. 

Off The Court 
Nanez is the daughter of Luis and Margarita Nanez... has one brother- Luis... was born Sept. 18, 1986... majoring in political science.
