2008 Season [Freshman]
In her first season donning the Bronc green and orange, Gandara saw action in 48 games...collected a career-high 17 total attacks against UTSA (Sept. 17)...competed in the last five matches where she recorded a career-high eight kills and one assist against Providence (Nov. 22) and three digs against Utah Valley (Nov. 21) at the National Independent Tournament...at the Spike Ike Classic (Denton, TX), recorded a career-high seven blocks (1 block solo, 6 block assists) against SFA (Sept. 19)...finished with a .438 hitting percentage against Providence (Nov. 22) with eight kills and 16 total attacks along with two digs...competed in eight straight contests from Sept. 5-23...tied her career-high one service ace on three occasions - Prairie View A&M, TCU and Providence...posted six kills and 10 total attacks against Prairie View (Sept. 5) along with one block assist...ranked fifth amongst the squad in blocks with 23.0 (0.48 bpg)...finished seventh on the team in attacks with 114 total attacks ( .237)...finished her first season averaging 0.92 kills, 0.21 digs and 0.48 blocks per game...earned Dean[apos]s List First Honors...posted a perfect 4.0 in the spring semester.

Gandara was a four-year letterman in volleyball...was First Team All-District for three years and First Team All-City for two years...in 2006 was the All-District MVP, All-State MVP and made the All-State First Team...led her team to three are playoff appearances and two district championships...led her team in kills and blocks in her last three seasons of play. Gandara is the daughter of Jaime and Blanca Gandara...has four brothers and one sister...was born on September 29, 1988.
