HARLINGEN, Texas – The third-seeded University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women's tennis team (3-12) faces off against the second-seeded Seattle University Redhawks (12-13) in the semifinals of the Great West Conference Championship on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at the HEB Tennis Center.
Broncs in the Great West Conference Tournament
The Broncs won the Great West Conference Championship as the fourth seed in 2010 and finished in fourth place as the second seed in 2011.
The Series
The Broncs are 1-1 all-time against the Redhawks, picking up a 4-2 win in the 2009 National Independent Tournament at the Orville Cox Tennis Center and falling 4-0 in the Great Wets Conference Championship third-place game last year.

Veronica Dimas 8-6 at No. 2.
Andersen made quick work of Veronica Dimas in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-1, and Nazarova beat Daniela Dimas 6-2, 6-3. Strkic won at No. 5 6-2, 7-5 to close out the match.
Scouting the Redhawks
The Redhawks were 10-10 away from home this season, although this is the first time they have left the west coast.
The Redhawks are led by the doubles duo of Katrina Schwab and Corinne Wurden, who are 13-11 together this season, going 6-4 at No. 1 and 7-7 at No. 2. In singles, Lindsey Newman is 19-6, including an 8-3 mark at No. 2 and a 10-3 mark at No. 3. Sarah Lucas is 15-7, with a majority of her matches coming at No. 6 (10-3). Wurden is also in double-figures with a 12- 7 record.
