HOUSTON – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women's tennis team fell to the University of Houston Cougars 0-7 on Sunday at the John E. Hoff Courts.
 
The Cougars (8-3) took the doubles point 2-0 with wins at No. 3 and No. 2, but the Broncs (0-8) played an even No. 1 match, as Dana Nazarova and Reegan Greenwood were tied 6-6 with Elena Kordolaimi and Jo Garvey when the point was decided.
 
Reegan Greenwood was the only Bronc to win a set, taking her first set against Dionne Sanders at No. 5, 6-3. Sanders bounced back to take the second set 6-2 and then win the tiebreaker 10-6.
 
After dropping her first set to Garvey at No. 6 0-6, freshman Roma High School alum Julia Perez won a career-high four dual games in the second set before falling 4-6.
 
Perez also played with Manon Lavrijssen at No. 3 doubles, falling 1-8 to Rocio Martin Fernandez and Sanders.
 
The Broncs kick off a two-match home stand against St. Mary's University, the No. 48 ranked team in Division II, on Friday, March 1 at 2:00 p.m.
