EDINBURG –The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women's tennis had their four-match win streak snapped after falling 2-5 to Grand Canyon University on Friday at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
 
The Antelopes (5-3) got off to a quick start by sweeping through doubles to clinch the point but sophomore Reegan Greenwood got the Broncs (5-4) on the board with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Raquel Gonzales at No. 6 singles. Freshman Katia Stavroulaki followed with a win at No. 4 singles as she beat Federique Van de Velde 6-1, 6-3 to even the match.
 
Senior Wanda Beguelin took her match against Tatum Prudhomme to three sets. After dropping the first set 0-6 Beguelin bounced back with a 6-3 second set win before falling 3-6 in the third. The Antelopes picked up points at No. 1, 3 and 5 singles to put the match away.
 
The Broncs are back in action at 4:30 p.m. when they face the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Javelinas at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
