EDINBURG –The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women's tennis team won their second straight match as they defeated the University of Missouri-Kansas City Kangaroos 5-2 on Sunday at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
 
The Broncs (7-4) started off doubles with a win at No. 1 as Wanda Beguelin and Christel Amsallem beat Kansas City's (4-9) Amelie Amsallem and Dimitra Stavrianakou 8-1. Reegan Greenwood and Katia Stavroulaki defeated Gaby Pintos and Maddie Schulte 8-2 at No. 2 doubles to clinch the point.
 
In singles, Beguelin started things off with a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles over Schulte. Stavroulaki followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Raquel Argenal at No. 3 singles. Amsallem picked up a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles over Linda Ammar Mouhoub while Greenwood beat Amsallem 6-3, 6-3 at No. 5 singles.
 
The Kangaroos picked up their two points with wins at No. 1 and 4 singles.
 
The Broncs are back in action when they hit the road to face Grambling State on Friday, March 7.
