PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women's tennis team started off their six-match road trip with a 4-0 win over the Prairie View A&M Panthers on Thursday at the Prairie View A&M Tennis Complex.
 
The Broncs (8-4) got the doubles competition started as the team of Reegan Greenwood and Katia Stavroulaki defeated the Panthers' (5-9) team of Sydney Thomas and Christine Gwodog 8-1 at No. 2 doubles. Didi Fatchikova and Mariana Ranzahuer clinched the doubles point with an 8-1 win over Erika Bond and Alexandria Young at No. 3 doubles.
 
In singles, Stavroulaki defeated Gwodog 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 3 singles position. Greenwood then beat Bond 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and Christel Amsallem clinched the match for the Broncs as she beat Thomas 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
 
The rest of the singles matches went unfinished once the match was decided.
 
The Broncs continue their road trip as they Grambling State University on Friday at 1 p.m.
