Box ScorePhoto GalleryEDINBURG – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's basketball team completed the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 68-43 loss to the UTSA Roadrunners on Monday at the UTPA Fieldhouse.
Freshman
Dan Kimasa led the Broncs (7-10) with his third double-double, recording 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Jeromie Hill led the Roadrunners (8-7) with 18 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
Ryan Bowie scored 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting from behind the arc.
Kaj-Björn Sherman scored 14 points with nine rebounds.
Keon Lewis scored 12 points with five steals.
Kimasa hit a layup and sophomore
Janari Joesaar made a three as the Broncs jumped out to a 5-2 lead. The Roadrunners scored the next seven points, but the Broncs responded with five of their own, going up 10-9 on a Joesaar jumper.
The Broncs still led by one at 14-13 after a Kimasa layup, but Bowie nailed three-straight three-pointers to put the Roadrunners up 22-14.
The Broncs pulled within 25-23 on a pair of free throws by junior
Shaquille Hines, but the Roadrunners hit nine of their next 15 shots to power a 23-5 run and go up 48-28 with 13:54 remaining.
The Broncs are back in action on Thursday at 9 p.m. when they visit Seattle U.
