PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women's tennis team picked up their first victory of the season after defeating the Prairie View A&M University Panthers 4-0 on Saturday at the Prairie View A&M Tennis Complex. 
 
The Broncs (1-1) jumped out to the quick lead after taking two-of-three doubles matches from the Panthers (0-1). The team of sophomore Katia Stavroulaki and junior Reegan Greenwood defeated the duo of Taylor LeFridge and Stacy Lackey 6-3. The team of junior Christel Amsallem and freshman Lison Le Biavant beat Maria Lackey and Capra Fellows 6-2 to clinch the doubles point.
 
In singles, Stavroulaki defeated LeFridge 6-2, 7-5 at the No. 1 singles spot. Sophomore Mariana Ranzahuer defeated Stacy Lackey in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 3 spot and Greenwood clinched the match for the Broncs with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Tatiana Ruhl at the No. 4 spot.
 
The Broncs continue their road trip on Sunday when they head to Huntsville to take on the Sam Houston State University Bearkats at 1 p.m.
