DESTIN, Fla. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley men's basketball team (0-5) opens pool play at the Destin Realty Emerald Coast Classic against Grambling State (1-3) on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Northwest State Florida College Arena.

UTRGV played interpool play against Memphis and Iowa, while Grambling State played Providence and Virginia.
