PRAIRIE VIEW – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros women's tennis team look to get back to their winning ways as they face the Prairie View A&M Panthers on Saturday at the Panther Tennis Courts at 11 a.m.
Last Time OutThe Vaqueros are coming off of a 2-5 loss against the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
Freshman
Dominique Ibarra picked up a point on court three as she defeated Alena Shickova 2-6, 6-3, 7-5.
Fellow freshman
Tara Donaho picked up another point on court five as she defeated Sonia Madroñal 6-2, 6-4.
Both Ibarra and Donaho teamed up for a doubles victory on court three defeating Lina Hallgren and Charleen Tiwari.
Scouting the PanthersThe Panthers have recorded two wins on the season as they defeated LSU Alexandria 5-2 back on January 28 and Texas Permian Basin 4-3 on February 14.
The Panthers will face UNC Willington on Friday before facing the Vaqueros on Saturday.
The All-Time SeriesThe Vaqueros are 13-1 all-time against the Panthers in a series that dates back to 1986.
These two teams faced each other last season as the Vaqueros defeated the Panthers 4-0 in Paririe View.

Reegan Greenwood is currently seventh in program history with 45 career singles wins. She is two away from Silke Buksik (2005-08) for sixth place and just five wins away from Tania Webster (1988-91) for fifth place. Ellen Nelissen (1991-95) tops the all-time list with 67 wins.
