CORPUS CHRISTI – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros men's tennis team fell to the South Alabama Jaguars 0-4 to close out the 50^th Annual H-E-B Tournament of Champions on Saturday at the H-E-B Tennis Courts.
 
The Vaqueros (7-7) finished in sixth place after their three matches of the tournament.
 
The team of Juan Cruz Soria and Koby Jansen got the Vaqueros an early advantage in doubles as they beat Oliver Gingras and Gerhard Gruinelingh 6-3 on court one but the Jaguars (10-7) took the doubles point with wins on courts two and three.
 
The Jaguars then won on singles courts six, two and five to close out the match. Soria led 6-4, 4-3 in his match against Tim Srkala on court one but it went unfinished once the match was clinched. Jansen and Yehonatan Kaufman's matches also went unfinished on courts three and four.
 
The Vaqueros will be back in action on March 12 when they head to Houston to face the Rice Owls.
