ARLINGTON – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley women's tennis team fell 0-7 at the hands of the University of Texas at Arlington on Sunday at the UTA Tennis Center.
 
UTA (2-3) grabbed the early 1-0 lead as they won on doubles courts two and three. UTRGV's (1-6) team of Dominique Esparza and Anastasia Belyaeva went back and forth with Angeles de los Rios and Jessica Birowski on court one as they ended their match at three games apiece.
 
In singles, UTA won on courts five, one and two to clinch the match before completing the sweep with wins on courts six and four.
 
UTRGV will be back in action on February 12 when they head to San Antonio to face the University of Texas San Antonio at the UTSA Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
