LUBBOCK – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) men's tennis team suffered an 0-7 loss to the University of New Mexico on Saturday in a neutral site match at the McLeod Tennis Center, on the campus of Texas Tech University.

Yehonatan Kaufman held a 5-4 lead over Bart Van Leijsen and Stepan Holis on court one before it went unfinished.
In singles, UTRGV (1-1) sophomore Dennis Boisseau took his match on court three against Dominic West to three sets. Boisseau dropped the first set 0-6 and then answered back with a 7-5 win in the second. In the tiebreaker, Boisseau fell 5-10 as New Mexico won on the rest of the singles courts.
UTRGV will be right back at it as they face No. 25 Texas Tech University on Sunday at 9 a.m.
