AUSTIN – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) women's tennis team fell 0-4 to No. 12 University of Texas on Saturday at the Weller Indoor Tennis Center.
In doubles, Texas (2-0) took courts two and three to clinch the point. The match between UTRGV's (0-2) duo of juniors Marine Darzyan and
Dominique Ibarra and Texas' Petra Granic and Anna Turati went unfinished with the doubles point decided.
Texas followed doubles with wins on singles courts three, one and two to clinch the victory with the matches on the rest of the courts going unfinished.
UTRGV will open up their home portion of the schedule on January 27 when they host Prairie View A&M University at 2 p.m. at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
