EDINBURG –The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Mathematics and Science Academy invites you to the fourth annual UTRGV Athletics Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. outside the UTRGV Fieldhouse in parking lot E16.
 
Trunk or Treat is a free and safe alternative to door-to-door trick-or-treating with more than 30 unique themes and attractions hosted by UTRGV student organizations and departments.
 
The first 500 children in attendance will receive Trunk or Treat fan packs.
 
Festivities includes a haunted bus, live music, games, food, and an opportunity to meet the UTRGV men's and women's basketball teams, take photos, and receive autographs. 
 
Children will also have the chance to participate in a costume contest at 7 p.m.
 
The mission of the Mathematics and Science Academy is to offer an accelerated educational program for bright, motivated Texas 11^thand 12^thgrade high school students who have demonstrated an interest in pursuing careers in math and science.
