EDINBURG – There are currently 13 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on how some of them they're doing, courtesy of Eurobasket.

Janari Joesaar (2015-16) contributed to BC Kalev/Cramo's (5-6) victory against Enisey (4-7) 88-80 in the VTB United League on Saturday in Latvia. He recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 11 rebounds in 33 minutes. This season, Joesaar is averaging 8.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

Lauri Toivonen (2012-14) plays for Lapuan Korikobrat (5-11) in Finland and is currently averaging 6.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 15 games.

Emmanuel Jones (2007-09) led Pauian (5-7) to a 79-70 victory over Taiwan Beer (8-5) in the Taiwanese SBL on Sunday. Jones was MVP of the game by scoring 13 points with four rebounds and three blocks in 17 minutes. Jones is averaging 18.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

Luis Valera (2008-10) plays for Azuqueca in the Spanish LEB Silver
Julius Allgood (2006-09) plays for Centro in the Dominican Republic Higuey League
Paul Stoll (2006-08) plays for Maccabi Ashdod/Be'er Tuvia in Israel
