COLLEGE STATION – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's tennis team wrapped up play at the ITA Regionals on Friday at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
 
Sophomores Sandra Putz and Katarina Sasaroga, who picked up a win in the round of 64 to advance to the round of 32 in the main doubles draw, faced off against SMU's Jackie Nylander and Zade Tcherkes for a spot in the round of 16 but fell 4-8.
 
Putz faced off against Texas A&M's Tatiana Makarova for a spot in the round of 32 in the consolation bracket but fell 2-6, 4-6 to close out play for the Vaqueros.
 
The Vaqueros will be back in action from Oct. 26-27 at the Bearkat Invitational to close out the fall schedule.
