RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 12 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on how some of them they're doing, courtesy of
Eurobasket:
Luis Valera (2008-10) recorded a double-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds and three assists to lead Azuqueca to 99-66 victory over Pozuelo in the Spanish EBA on Saturday. In his fourth season with the team, Valera is averaging 14.9 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
Janari Joesaar (2014-15) scored 21 poinst with eight rebounds to propel Kalev/Cramo to an 84-76 victory over Astana in the VTB United League on Monday. Joesaar is averaging 9.4 points and 5.3 rebounds in eight games.
Terry Winn III (2017-19) scored 12 points with eight rebounds, but Larochette fell to Racing 79-65 in the Luxembourg Total League. Winn is averaging 21.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists in five games.
