RIO GRANDE VALLEY – UTRGV Athletics is excited to tip-off the 2019-20 men's and women's basketball seasons with 23 promotional nights starting with the Cane's Challenge on Thursday at 7 p.m. as women's basketball hosts Texas Southern.
 
Games are played at the UTRGV Fieldhouse, where fans can be close to the action. Doors open one hour prior to tip-off in November and an hour and a half prior to tip-off from December through March.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at UTRGVTickets.com. Fans purchasing their tickets online prior to game day can save up to $2 per ticket.

Current UTRGV students receive free general admission to all home games and up to 50% off concessions with a valid student ID.

Fans that can't attend in person at the UTRGV Fieldhouse can watch every game on the WAC Digital Network or ESPN+ at GoUTRGV.com/Live.

• Hoops for Troops – UTRGV Athletics would like to thank our veterans and active duty military for their service by offering them free general admission. Accompanying guests will receive $3 tickets.

Monday, Nov. 25, 7 p.m. – Men's Basketball vs. Texas A&M-International 

• Diabetes Awareness Night – The UTRGV men's basketball team is partnering with the Rio Grande Valley Diabetes Association to raise awareness about diabetes in the RGV by offering resources and information to fans while promoting a healthy lifestyle. 
• Student Food Pantry Drive – Help stock the UTRGV Student Food Pantry by donating five non-perishable food items at this game. As a thank you, fans that donate will receive free admission to the game.

 
Tuesday, Nov. 26, 7 p.m. – Women's Basketball vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville 

• Student Food Pantry Drive – Help stock the UTRGV Student Food Pantry by donating five non-perishable food items at this game. As a thank you, fans that donate will receive free admission to the game.
• Watch Party – UTRGV students can cheer on the Vaqueros to victory by attending the monthly watch party at the Casa Bella clubhouse in Brownsville. There will be free food, raffles, and prizes.

 
Saturday, Nov. 30, Doubleheader – Women's Basketball vs. UTSA at 4:30 p.m. and Men's Basketball vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 7 p.m.

• South Texas Showdown, presented by Navy Army Community Credit Union/T-Shirt Giveaway – Let's orange out the Fieldhouse! • Taco Tuesday – The first 200 UTRGV students in attendance receive free tacos, courtesy of head coach Lew Hill and the men's basketball team.
• Vaquero Village – Come check out the hottest spot on campus during the grand opening of Vaquero Village, which will feature a bar, student section, kids zone, donors section and a corporate partners section. The pregame party starts at 5:30 p.m. and goes on until game time.
• Red Panda Performance – Red Panda, declared by Sports Illustratedto be "the NBA's favorite halftime show," is set to make her UTRGV debut with a performance at halftime.

 
Saturday, Dec. 7, 2 p.m. – Women's Basketball vs. Texas A&M International 

• Tim's Coats – Donate a useable coat for free general admission to the game. All donations benefit Tim's Coats, a non-profit organization that, in conjunction with the Southwest Dry Cleaners Association, distributes coats to families in need throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

• Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night – UTRGV Athletics would like to show its appreciation for all current UTRGV faculty and staff by offering free general admission for faculty and staff and one guest with a UTRGV employee ID.
• Postgame – After the game, fans can make their way to the east parking lot of the fieldhouse (Lot E16) to observe the annual burning of the letters, hosted by Student Activities.
