RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 13 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on how some of them they're doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
 
Perry Petty (2010-11) scored 31 points with 12 rebounds and four steals as Gorgan fell at Mahram 67-66 in the Iranian Basketball League. Petty is averaging 20.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 3.0 steals in five games.
 
Luis Valera (2008-10) scored 18 points with 10 rebounds to lead Azuqueca past Aguimes 71-57 in the Spanish EBA. Valera is averaging 15.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 11 games.
 
Terry Winn III (2017-19) scored 18 points to propel Larochette to an 82-77 victory against Amicale in the Luxembourg Total League on Saturday. Winn is averaging 21.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
 
Janari Joesaar (2014-15) scored 10 points with seven rebounds as Kalev/Cramo lost to Tsmoki-Minsk 84-79. Joesaar is averaging 9.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
 
Lauri Toivonen (2011-14) scored six points with six rebounds as Kobrat fell to BC Koia 98-69 in the Finnish Korisliiga. Toivonen is averaging 3.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists in eight games.
