RIO GRANDE VALLEY – Fans looking to attend Friday's 7 p.m. game between The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) men's basketball team and Mid-America Christian University at the UTRGV Fieldhouse are advised that, due to road closures surrounding the Edinburg Night of Lights Parade, the parking lot will only be accessible by taking Schunior St. to Miguel Nevarez Dr.
 
The closest major cross streets that will be accessible to Schunior St. from both the north and south will be Jackson Rd. on the west side and Expressway 281 on the east side. Sugar Rd. and Closner Blvd. will be accessible from the north side only.
 
University Dr. will be closed from Sugar Rd. to Closner Blvd. to accommodate the parade.
 
The road closures begin at 5:15.
 
Vaquero Village and doors to the UTRGV Fieldhouse open at 5:30.
 
All ticketed fans can access Vaquero Village. Tickets are scanned at the gate next to the box office, allowing access to Vaquero Village and the fieldhouse. Season ticket holders can enter through the season ticket entrance on the east side of the fieldhouse adjacent to the parking lot. Current UTRGV students, who receive free general admission, can have their UTRGV student IDs scanned at the gate on the west side of the fieldhouse courtyard adjacent to the science building.
 
Current UTRGV students get free general admission with a valid UTRGV student ID. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at UTRGVTickets.com. Fans purchasing their tickets online prior to game day can save up to $2 per ticket.
