EDINBURG – There are currently 18 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on how some of them they're doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
 
Mike Hoffman (2015-18) scored 23 points with five rebounds to lead Telstar Hesperange past Soleuvre (16-9) 96-73 in the Luxembourg Total League on Saturday. It was his team's sixth-straight win with four remaining in the second stage. Hoffman is averaging 22.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.

Shaquille Hines (2012-16) led Basketball Loewen Braunschweig to a 105-101 victory against the Giessen 46ers in the German BBL last Friday by scoring 13 points in 22 minutes. Hines is averaging 7.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. 
 
Lauri Toivonen (2012-14) scored six points with six rebounds and three assists, Lapuan Korikobrat fell to Joensuun Kataja 87-74 in the Finnish Korisliiga. Toivonen's team has one game remaining in the regular season. Toivonen is averaging 6.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. 

Luis Valera (2008-10) scored five points with four rebounds as Azuqueca lost to Estela (15-14) in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). Valera is averaging 8.1 points per game.

Emanuel Jones (2007-09) scored 21 points with nine rebounds to lead Yulon Luxgen to a 94-87 victory over the Dacin Tigers in the Taiwanese SBL on Sunday. It was the team's third-straight win to close out the regular season. Jones is averaging 18.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
