RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's tennis team is set to host Laredo Community College on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.  
 
Admission is free and fans are encouraged to attend. The match was originally scheduled for February 20 but weather conditions forced the match to be rescheduled. 
 
Last Time Out

• UTRGV (0-9) fell 2-5 to Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday.
• UTRGV won the doubles point with wins from Katarina Sasaroga and Sandra Putz at the No.1 spot and from Valeria Montero and Kristyna Mamicova at the No. 3 spot.
• Ana Platisa added the other point for UTRGv with a 7-6, 6-1 win over Franka Sindicic at the No. 5 singles spot. 

 
All-Time Series Against Laredo Community College

• UTRGV is 18-2 all-time against Laredo Community College in a series that dates back to 1986.
• UTRGV won last year's match 7-0 on March 11, 2019 at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
• UTRGV has won the last four matches.
• The last 12 matches in the series have been played at the Orville Cox Tennis Center. 

 
Scouting Laredo Community College

• Laredo Community College has already faced St. Mary's, Incarnate Word, and St. Edwards.
• Have dropped the last two matches against Incarnate Word and St. Edwards. 

 
WAC Doubles Team of the Week

• Sasaroga and Putz were named WAC Doubles Team of the Week with their win helping clinch UTRGV's first doubles point of the season. 
• It's the team's second doubles honor after Mamicova and Thal earned the honor back on January 28.
• This is Sasaroga and Putz's second award of the 2019-20 season as they also won WAC Doubles Team of the Month for the month of October.
