FORT WORTH – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's tennis team continues its spring break as it competes against Texas Christian University on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
 
Last Time Out

• UTRGV (1-10) opened its spring break with a 0-4 loss at Houston. 
• Houston won at No. 1 and 2 doubles to clinch the point while the match at No. 3 doubles went unfinished.
• Houston won at No. 2, 3 and 6 doubles to clinch the win.
• The matches on courts 1, 4, and 5 went unfinished. 

 
All-Time Series Against TCU

• UTRGV is 0-7 all-time against TCU in series that dates back to 1995.
• TCU won last year's match up 4-0 in Fort Worth.
• UTRGV's last five matches against TCU: L 0-4 (Feb. 16, 2019), L 0-4 (Feb. 4, 2018), L 0-7 (Jan. 22, 2011), L 0-9 (Jan. 31, 1998), and L 2-7 (Feb. 1, 1997).

 
Scouting TCU

• TCU is 3-7 on the season.
• Is currently on a two-match losing streak after falling to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. 
• Its three wins have come against Rice, New Mexico, and South Florida.
• TCU is 12-18 in singles play while going 8-12 in doubles play. 
• Marie Norris lead TCU with four singles victories while Mercedes Aristegui and Chloe Hule lead the team with a pair of doubles wins.
