RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 14 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on how some of them they're doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
 
Tyson Smith (2018-19) scored 25 points with six rebounds and three assists and three blocks as he helped Orbi to an 89-74 victory against Sport Uni on Wednesday in the Georgian A League. Smith is averaging 18.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. 
 
Janari Joesaar (2014-15) scored 18 points with six rebounds and three assists as Kalev/Cramo fell to Lokomotiv 98-81 in the VTB United League (Estonia). Joesaar is averaging 11.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game.

Solomon Hainna (2018-19) played for Cimarrones del Choco in Colombian LPB.
Lew Stallworth (2016-18) plays for BC Zaporizhya in Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague.
Mike Hoffman (2016-18) played for Telstar in Luxembourg Total League.
Xavier McDaniel Jr. (2016-18) plays for Seattle Mountaineers in the ABA.
Everett Osborne (2014-16) played for Bellarine Storm in Australian Local Leagues.
Lauri Toivonen (2011-14) plays for Kobrat in the Finnish Korisliiga.
Perry Petty (2010-11) plays for Gorgan in the Iranian Superleague.
Luis Valera (2008-10) plays for Azuqueca in the Spanish EBA.
Emmanuel Jones (2007-09) played for Yulon Luxgen in Taiwanese SBL.
Julius Allgood (2006-09) played for Bancoa in Dominican Rep. La Romana L.
