RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Friday that, due to a positive test of Tier 1 personnel and associated contact tracing within the men's basketball program, the team is engaged in a pause of competition.
 
The road game against Tarleton State, previously scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m., has been canceled.
