RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 16 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on home some of them are doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
 
Julius Allgood (2006-09) scored 33 points with four rebounds and four assists to lead Correcaminos de Colon to a 114-113 victory over Panteras in the Panamanian LPB on Thursday. Allgood is averaging 15.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in five games.
 
Perry Petty (2010-11) scored 23 points with seven rebounds, four assists and four steals to lead Gorgan to a 92-68 victory over Kouchin (2-3) in the Iranian Superleague on Wednesday. Petty is averaging 19.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
 
Lesley Varner II (2016-20) scored 22 points with eight rebounds to lead UBSC Raiffeisen Graz to a 73-69 victory against league leader Gunners Oberwart in the Austrian BSL on Saturday. Varner is averaging 14.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. 
 
Terry Winn III (2017-19) scored 24 points with 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals to lead Musel Pikes to a 79-70 victory over T71 in the Luxembourg LBBL on Saturday. Winn is averaging 23.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game. 
 
Luis Valera (2008-10) scored nine points with four rebounds, but Guadalajara fell at Alcala 104-81 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division). Valera is averaging 7.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in five games.

Xavier McDaniel Jr. (2016-18) played for Seattle Mountaineers in the ABA last season.
Tyson Smith (2018-19) played for Orbi in Georgian A League last season.
Luis Stallworth (2015-18) plays for Musel Pikes in the Luxembourg LBBL.
Paull Stoll (2006-08) plays for Fuerza Regia de Monterrey of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional.
Lauri Toivonen (2011-14) played for Nokia in Finnish Korisliiga last season.
