RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 15 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on home some of them are doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
 
Shaquille Hines (2012-16) scored 34 points with 10 rebounds in 40 minutes as the Nishinomiya Storks fell at FE Nagoya 76-73 Japanese B2 League on Saturday. Hines is averaging 13.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
 
Lesley Varner Jr. (2016-20) scored 16 points as UBSC Raiffeisen Graz fell at BC Vienna 98-76 in the Austrian BSL. Varner is averaging 17.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
 
Terry Winn III (2017-19) scored 27 points with nine rebounds as Musel Pikes fell at Bereldange 96-79 in the Luxembourg LBBL. Winn is averaging 24.2 points, 14.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game.

Perry Petty (2010-11) plays for Gorgan in Iranian Superleague
Tyson Smith (2018-19) plays for Arena-Orbi Tbilisi in the Georgian A League.
Luis Stallworth (2015-18) plays for Musel Pikes in the Luxembourg LBBL.
Paul Stoll (2006-08) plays for Fuerza Regia de Monterrey of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional.
Lauri Toivonen (2011-14) plays for Nokia in the Finnish Korisliiga.
Luis Valera (2008-10) plays for Guadalajara in Spanish EBA
