RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 12 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on home some of them are doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
 
Perry Petty (2010-11) scored 15 points with 11 rebounds and five assists to lead Shahrdari Gorgan to an 83-76 victory over Chemidor in the Iranian Superleague on Friday. Petty is averaging 11.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.3 steals per game.
 
Janari Joesaar (2014-15) scored 13 points with nine rebounds and three assists to lead BC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn to an 86-75 victory over league-leading VEF Riga (23-2) 86-75 on Sunday. BC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn (21-2) is placed second in the EstLatBL and has won 13 in a row. Joesaar is averaging 10.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
 
Luis Valera (2008-10) scored 17 points with four rebounds to lead Lujisa Guadalajara Basket to a 69-65 victory over Lanzarote (3-14) in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) on Saturday. Valera is averaging 17.0 points and 6.5 rebounds.
 
Terry Winn III (2017-19) scored 10 points with seven rebounds and four assists as the Tampa Bay Titans fell at the Raleigh Firebirds 118-110 on Saturday in The Basketball League. Winn is averaging 6.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in two games.
