RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 12 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on home some of them are doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
 
Perry Petty (2010-11) scored 24 points with 10 rebounds four assists and four steals to lead Gorgan to an 84-72 victory over Mahram in the Iranian Superleague on Sunday. Petty is averaging 12.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.2 steals in 16 games.
 
Shaquille Hines (2012-16) scored 13 points with seven rebounds, but DEAC fell at Alba 114-105 in the playoffs on Tuesday. Hines is averaging 11.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
 
Johnny Crnogorac (2017-19) scored four points in five minutes for the Albury Wodonga Bandits during an 81-73 loss to the Ballarat Miners in the Australian State League (second division) season opener.

Luis Valera (2008-10) plays for Guadalajara in Spanish EBA
Terry Winn III (2017-19) plays for Tampa Bay Titans in the TBL
