RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 13 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on home some of them are doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
 
Shaquille Hines (2012-16) scored 20 points with three assists, but DEAC was upset by Szedeak 90-82 in the playoffs. Hines is averaging 10.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals in 36 games. This summer, Hines will play for Team Relentless in TBT.
 
Johnny Crnogorac (2017-19) scored 14 points with nine rebounds to lead the Albury Wodonga Bandits to a 94-82 victory over the Waverley Falcons in the Australian State League (second division) on Saturday. Crnogorac is averaging 10.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. 
 
Terry Winn III (2017-19) scored seven points to help the Tampa Bay Titans to a 129-122 victory against the Gulf Coast Lions in the TBL on Friday. Winn is averaging 15.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 10 games.

Tyson Smith (2018-19) played for Orbi in Georgian A League last year
Lew Stallworth (2015-18) plays for Timisoara in Romanian Liga Nationala
Lauri Toivonen (2011-14) plays for Nokia in Finnish Korisliiga
Luis Valera (2008-10) plays for Guadalajara in Spanish EBA
