RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 15 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on home some of them are doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
 
Jordan Jackson (2017-20) scored 35 points with eight rebounds, five assists and two blocks in 40 minutes of his season debut to lead Antranik to an 89-87 victory over Atlas in the Lebanese LBL on Thursday.
 
Javon Levi (2017-21) scored 16 points with seven rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals in 36 minutes to lead Dubrovnik a 99-65 victory over Kastela in the Croatian Prva Liga (second division) on Sunday. Levi is averaging 8.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 4.1 steals in seven games. 
 
Perry Petty (2010-11) scored 12 points with eight rebounds and three assists as Parque Sur fell to Pico FC 79-67 in Argentina's Conference Sur. Petty is averaging 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
 
Shaquille Hines (2012-16) scored 10 points with five rebounds in 20 minutes as Medipolis Science City Jena fell to the Artland Dragons 85-80 in the German ProA (second division). Hines is averaging 12.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in eight games.
 
Luis Valera (2008-10) scored 10 points with five assists as Guadalajara fell to Movistar Estudiantes Madrid B team in the Spanish EBA (fourth division). Valera is averaging 15.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.
 
Mike Adewunmi (2021-22) grabbed six rebounds with one point as Shumen fell to Yambol 84-68 in the Bulgarian NBL. Adewunmi is averaging 13.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in six games.
 
Lesley Varner II (2016-20) scored seven points to help the Kapfenberg Bulls beat the Arkadia Lions 69-61 in the Austrian BSL on Sunday. Varner is averaging 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.

Xavier McDaniel Jr. (2016-18) played for Elite 1 Storm in the PHASE1 Academy Elite 1 Caribbean Basketball Summer League.
Lew Stallworth (2015-18) plays for Tskhum-Abkhazeti in Georgian Superleague
Paul Stoll (2006-08) plays for Fuerza Regia de Monterrey in Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Professional and recently led Team Mexico in the 2022 FIBA AmeriCup.
Terry Winn III (2017-19) plays for JobStairs Giessen 46ers in German ProA
