RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 15 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on home some of them are doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
 
Lesley Varner II (2016-20) scored 13 points with five rebounds to lead the Kapfenberg Bulls to a 77-72 victory over the Raiffeisen Flyers Wels in the Austrian BSL on Saturday. Varner is averaging 12.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. 
 
Luis Valera (2008-10) scored 14 points to lead Lujisa Guadalajara Basket to a 104-71 victory over Guimar in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) on Saturday. Valera is averaging 14.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in eight games.
 
Javon Levi (2017-21) scored five points with four rebounds, four assists and three steals to help KK Dubrovnik beat Kvarner 2010 68-54 in the Croatian Prva Liga (second division) on Saturday. Levi is averaging 9.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 4.1 steals per game.
 
Jordan Jackson (2017-20) scored 24 points with four rebounds and five assists as Antranik fell to Al Riyadi 103-63 in a derby game in the Lebanese LBL. Jackson is averaging 25.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 4.3 steals in three games.

Xavier McDaniel Jr. (2016-18) played for Elite 1 Storm in the PHASE1 Academy Elite 1 Caribbean Basketball Summer League.
Perry Petty (2010-11) plays for Parque Sur in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina
Lew Stallworth (2015-18) plays for Tskhum-Abkhazeti in Georgian Superleague
Paul Stoll (2006-08) plays for Fuerza Regia de Monterrey in Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Professional and recently led Team Mexico in the 2022 FIBA AmeriCup.
Terry Winn III (2017-19) plays for JobStairs Giessen 46ers in German ProA
