RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 13 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on home some of them are doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
 
Perry Petty (2010-11) scored 23 points with 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals to lead Gorgan to an 81-72 victory over Chemidor in the Iranian Superleague on Thursday. Petty is averaging 19.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.7 steals per game.
 
In his season debut, Terry Winn III (2017-19) scored 17 points with 11 rebounds to lead the North Adelaide Rockets to an 82-80 victory over the Woodville Warriors in the Australian State League (second division) on Saturday
 
Shaquille Hines (2012-16) scored 12 points with 10 rebounds to lead Nishinomiya Storks to an 86-51 victory over Bambitious Nara on Sunday. Hines is averaging 15.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
 
Luis Valera (2008-10) scored 19 points with five rebounds to lead Guadalajara to a 74-72 victory over the Zentro Basket Madrid 2nd team in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) on Sunday. Valera is averaging 14.1 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
 
Johnny Crnogorac (2017-19) scored 12 points with seven rebounds and two blocks to lead the Inner West Bulls to a 73-62 victory over the Hunters in the Australian State League (second division) on Saturday. Crnogorac is averaging 8.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 4.0 blocks per game.
 
Lesley Varner Jr. (2016-20) scored 25 points with four rebounds, three assists and four steals as UBSC Raiffeisen Graz fell to Gunners Oberwart 84-68 in the Austrian BSL on Saturday. Varner is averaging 18.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.3 steals in 26 games.
 
Janari Joesaar (2014-15) scored 10 points with seven rebounds as medi Bayreuth fell at ALBA Berlin 87-53 on Monday. Joesaar is averaging 9.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
