RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 13 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on home some of them are doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
 
Perry Petty (2010-11) scored 31 points with four rebounds and three assists to lead Gorgan to an 84-82 victory over Chemidor in the Iranian Superleague on Thursday. Petty is averaging 20.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.5 steals in 23 games.
 
Lesley Varner II (2016-20) scored 21 points with eight rebounds, four assists and three steals to lead UBSC Raiffeisen Graz to a 97-82 victory over the Kapfenberg Bulls on Saturday in the Austrian BSL. Varner is averaging 18.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.3 steals per game.
 
Janari Joesaar (2014-15) scored 16 points with five rebounds, but medi Bayreuth fell at Hakro Merlins 90-85 in the German BBL. Joesaar is averaging 10.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
 
Shaquille Hines (2012-16) scored 15 points with five rebounds, but the Nishinomiya Storks fell at the Kumamoto Volters 79-84. Hines is averaging 15.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 49 games.

Xavier McDaniel Jr. (2016-18) plays for Flint United in The Basketball League.
Lew Stallworth (2015-18) plays for Tskhum-Abkhazeti in the Georgian Super League.
Paul Stoll (2006-08) plays for Hapoel SP Tel Aviv in the Israel-Winner League.
Luis Valera (2008-10) plays for Guadalajara in the Spanish EBA.
Terry Winn III (2017-19) plays for the the North Adelaide Rockets in the Australian State League.
