RIO GRANDE VALLEY – There are currently at least 13 players who previously played for the UTRGV men's basketball team actively playing professional basketball. Here is an update on home some of them are doing, courtesy of Eurobasket:
 
Perry Petty (2010-11) scored 32 points with seven rebounds to lead Gorgan to a 72-64 victory over Zob Ahan in the Iranian Super League on Monday. Petty is averaging 20.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.7 steals in 25 games.
 
Lesley Varner II (2016-20) scored 16 points with six rebounds and four assists to lead UBSC Raiffeisen Graz to an 80-62 victory over UBC St. Poelten in the Austrian BSL on Sunday. Varner is averaging 18.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.2 steals per game.
 
Luis Valera (2008-10) scored 17 points with eight rebounds to lead Guadalajara to an 84-70 victory over the CB Fuenlabrada Madrid 2nd team in the Spanish EBA on Saturday. Valera is averaging 14.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
 
Terry Winn III (2017-19) scored 16 points with eight rebounds to lead the North Adelaide Rockets to a 90-73 victory over the Sturt Sabres in the Australian State League (second division) on Monday. Winn is averaging 14.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
 
Johnny Crnogorac (2017-19) scored nine points with five rebounds, six assists and four blocks to help the Inner West Bulls to a 74-73 victory over the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in the Australian State League (second division) on Sunday. Crnogorac is averaging 8.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 3.8 blocks per game.
 
Shaquille Hines (2012-16) scored 14 points with five rebounds and four assists as the Nishinomiya Storks fell to the Saga Ballooners 98-74 in the Japanese B2 League. Hines is averaging 15.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 51 games.
 
Janari Joesaar (2014-15) scored 11 points with eight rebounds as medi Bayreuth fell at ratiopharm Ulm 80-73 Friday in the German BBL. Joesaar is averaging 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
