RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics learned on Thursday that the swimming & diving team was recognized as a Spring Scholar All-America Teams as selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
To earn this prestigious recognition, teams were required to achieve a grade point average above 3.0 during the Spring 2025 semester, and the Vaqueros posted a 3.41 grade point average in the spring.
The Vaqueros represent one of 763 teams from 432 institutions to receive the honor.
UTRGV was also recognized as a CSCAA Fall Scholar All-America Team earlier this season.
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
