HARRISONBURG, Va. – Senior right side Valentina Sarti Cipriani and junior middle blocker Aaliyah Snead from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros volleyball team were named to the Erie Insurance Invitational All-Tournament Team Sunday. 
 
Cipriani and Snead helped the Vaqueros (5-6) go 2-1 at the tournament hosted by James Madison. UTRGV lost to James Madison, 3-1, then picked up back-to-back 3-0 sweeps over William & Mary and Delaware State. 
 
Cipriani averaged 2.0 kills per set and totaled nine blocks over three matches. She had a match-high six blocks in UTRGV's win over Delaware State on Sunday. 
 
Snead averaged 2.8 kills per set with a .451 hitting percentage during the tournament. She tallied double-digit kills in consecutive matches and hit .500 or better in two of three contests, recording 10 kills against JMU, 11 kills on .667 hitting against William & Mary, and seven kills on .500 hitting against Delaware State. Snead totaled seven blocks and had five in Sunday's win over DSU. 
 
The Vaqueros open Southland Conference play Wednesday at 12 p.m. in a School Day match against Lamar at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.
