HUMBLE – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's golf team wrapped up the All-American Intercollegiate with a 10^th place finish on Tuesday at the Golf Club of Houston.
 
The Vaqueros posted their best round of the tournament on Tuesday carding a final round 298 as they finished with a three-round score of 918. UTRGV finished just five shots out of the top-five while finishing ahead of Lamar, Sam Houston, Louisiana-Monroe, UT Arlington, and Houston Christian. 
 
Junior Rodolphe Cicala posted UTRGV's best round of the day with a final round even par 72 as he climbed to finish tied for 19^th with a three-round score of 227. Freshman Jorge Martin Sampedro and sophomore Gabriel Dulon Villoslada finished tied for 30^th with a three-round score of 230. Sampedro posted a final round 75 while Villoslada turned in a final round 77. 
 
Senior Arthit Kruaprayong and junior Esteban Gonzalez finished tied for 68^th with three-round scores of 239. Kruaprayong posted a final round 78 with Gonzalez carding a final round two-over par 74. 
 
In the individual tournament, freshman Brock Porter finished in eighth place with a three-round score of 232 after a final round two-over par 74. Senior Luis Limón finished tied for 13^th with a three-round score of 236 after a final round two-over par 74 and junior Emilio Gil Leyva finished tied for 25^th with a three-round score of 242 after a final round 81. 
 
No. 4 Arkansas took home the team title with a three-round score of 882 after a final round 285. Tarleton's Alvaro Pastor won the individual title in the main tournament with a three-round score of 214. LSU's Luke Haskew won the individual tournament with a three-round score of 217. 
 
The Vaqueros will be back in action March 30-31 at the Maridoe Intercollegiate at Maridoe Country Club.
