Women's Golf Travels to Tennessee to Compete in the Nashville Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's golf team is set to compete in their first out-of-state tournament of the spring when they tee it up at the Nashville Invitational, hosted by Lipscomb University, starting on Monday at Hermitage Golf Course.

Tournament Format
  • 36 holes will be played on Monday with the final 18 holes being played on Tuesday. 
  • Play will begin each day with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

  • The Vaqueros didn't compete in last year's Nashville Invitational, which is hosted by Lipscomb.
  • The 2025 Nashville Invitational was the first tournament hosted by Lipscomb in Nashville.
  • Iowa won the team title with a three-round score of 893 after posting rounds of 294, 298, and 301. 
  • Washington State finished in second place with a three-round score of 895 with rounds of 293, 299, and 303. 
  • Austin Peay finished in third place with a three-round score of 900 with rounds of 295, 303, and 302. 
  • CSU Fullerton's Louise Dahl won the individual title with a three-round score of 216 after posting rounds of 71, 72, and 73.
