OLD HICKORY, Tenn. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's golf team sits in 10^th place after the first day of the Nashville Invitational, hosted by Lipscomb, on Monday at Hermitage Golf Course.
 
The Vaqueros opened with a first round 310 before improving by seven strokes in the second with a 303 for a two-round 613.
 
Sophomore Zoe Hobbs leads UTRGV as she sits tied for 19^th with a two-round total of 150. Hobbs started with a first round of 73 before finishing with a second round of 77.
 
Sophomore Miriam Barcalova carded a 77 in round one and a 74 in round two, as she is tied for 22^nd with a two-round total of 151.
 
Junior Natalia Rodriguez is tied for 30^th with a two-round total of 153 with a round one 78 and a round two 75.
 
Junior Preston Saiz sits tied for 64^th with a two-round total of 159. Saiz opened with a first round with an 82 and finished the second round with a 77.
 
Sophomore Pitchayapa Pungpho is 69^th with a two-round total of 161. Pungpho carded with a first round 82 and finished the second round with a 79.
 
Delaware holds the team lead with a two-round total of 584 after posting rounds of 291 and 293. Delaware's Hyunji Kim holds the individual lead with a two-round total of 143 after rounds of 70 and 73.
 
The Vaqueros are back on the course Tuesday for the final round.
