RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will unveil the economic impact derived from the launch and inaugural season of the Vaqueros football program on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. during The Business Playbook Conference, hosted by the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce and the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation, at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance.

Chasse Conque will conduct a presentation on the annual economic impact analysis and then take questions as part of a panel with Edinburg Mayor
Omar Ochoa and local business owner and former Edinburg Chamber of Commerce President
Hiren Govind.
Media and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during the panel.
Tickets are on sale via the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce through Wednesday at $50 for chamber members and $75 for non-chamber members. All tickets include breakfast, lunch, and a full day of programming from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., including access to the keynote conversation with Pro Football Hall of Famer and Dallas Cowboys legend
Emmitt Smith, which will immediately follow the session about the economic impact of UTRGV football.
Jaeda Rael, the sideline reporter for most UTRGV football, basketball, and baseball home games and color commentator for UTRGV volleyball home matches on ESPN+, will serve as the moderator for the economic impact panel and host of the conversation with Smith.
