RIO GRANDE VALLEY –The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men's golf team learned on Wednesday that they will compete in the Bryan Regional of the NCAA Tournament from May 18-20 at Traditions Club.
 
The NCAA has six regional sites with 13 or 14 teams at each regional. The top five teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championship, at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa from May 29-June 3, with the low individual not on an advancing team also making it to the championship.
 
The Vaqueros won the program's first-ever Southland Conference Championship on April 22 to earn the program's first-ever trip to an NCAA Regional. 
 
The Bryan field will feature UTRGV, Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, New Mexico, Texas A&M, TCU, UNCW, UNLV, Colorado, Cincinnati, Chattanooga, Miami (OH), and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
