RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Monday that senior
Kaliyah Poston of the track & field team, is the UTRGV Student-Athlete of the Week.
Poston represented the Vaqueros well at the NCAA West First Round last weekend. She capped off an excellent meet as the anchor leg for the 4x100-meter relay, which finished 19
th in the quarterfinals.

Dior Williams and Poston clocked in at 45.17, the sixth-fastest race in program history. They finished ahead of Power 4 programs including Stanford, BYU and Iowa in the overall results. The top 12 relay teams secured spots in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Poston also qualified for raced in the first round of the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 23.66 to place 29
th. The race was her third-fastest of the season and represented the highest finish for all UTRGV runners.
