SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) men's basketball freshman Ian Parham Jr. will be representing Belize on the U20 men's basketball national team at the XXV Central American & Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. 
 
Parham, a 6-6 guard from Buford, Georgia, played his senior season of high school basketball at Good Vision Academy in Houston, earning SWAIC All-League First Team honors after leading his team to the league championship. He averaged 21.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game in the 2025-26 season. 
 
He's no stranger to playing on an international stage. This will be the fourth summer in a row Parham competes for Team Belize in a FIBA event. He played on the U17 team for the Centrobasket Championship in Belize City in July 2023, the U18 team for the AmeriCup in Buenos Aires, Argentina in June 2024, and last summer he was in Guatemala City competing in the Central American Olympic Games. 
 
The XXV Central American & Caribbean Games open July 24. The men's basketball group stage begins July 26. Parham and Belize will face Nicaragua on July 26, Dominican Republic on July 28, and Guatemala on July 30. Based on group stage results, teams will play classification and medal games August 1 and 3.
